Awwww My Honey Made Me an Earring Holder Thing!

Ok this one goes back a while and this was a team effort but Jesse finished on his own without me and surprised me with it so kudos to him cause barf alert, he's just the greatest.

We'll say I have a *few* pairs of earrings. I had them all hanging on a chain necklace that I had thumbtacked to my wall so needless to say, it wasn't ideal and I needed something better. I'm not a jewelry box kind of girl, I wanted a frame with the screen behind it...you've seen 'em. Off to Goodwill where I found the most fantastic piece of art you will ever see.....and then we chopped it up! Please note no lobsters were harmed during the making of this project.

I like things that are different and so was drawn to the shape of this frame. The whole thing was wood so Jesse used God knows what to cut out the back and left the paint to me. I am a sucker for teal and red....they are for now and forever my colors. I painted the whole thing teal, added a little red and then used a dry brush to add black so it wasn't so bright and "in your face".

The surprise part came when I got home one day and Jesse had gone and bought the screen and finished her off with a hook on the back and all! I love it <3
